TET International Development Co. Ltd. is a Japanese company operating in Azerbaijan. The company held a presentation in Tokyo on investing in the reconstruction of liberated Karabakh.
Haruo Shimada, a well-known Japanese economist and special adviser to former Prime Minister Junichiro Koizumi, also attended the presentation organized by a Japanese company investing in agriculture in Azerbaijan, AJMEDIA reported.
At the beginning of the presentation, Taro Sawada, President of the “TET International Development Co. Ltd.”, one of the leading members of the economic organization of H. Shimada, informed about the history, geographical position, and current situation of Azerbaijan. He spoke about the 44-day Patriotic War in 2020 under the leadership of Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev and the investment of Japanese companies in the liberated territories.
Taro Sawada expressed confidence that representatives of Japanese companies, economists, businessmen, and experts, as well as those who watch the presentation online, will receive extensive information about the current situation in Azerbaijan.
Making a presentation, H. Shimada said that since his visit to Baku in July 2014, he has been closely following the socio-economic development of Azerbaijan and that the country has been developing dynamically in the political and economic spheres in the past. H. Shimada gave detailed information about the plan for the reconstruction of Karabakh, which has been under Armenian occupation for almost 30 years, and the importance of Japanese companies investing in this region of Azerbaijan. He stressed that the work done was only satisfactory and increased his sympathy for Azerbaijan. He said they plan to bring together Japanese entrepreneurs and economic groups to visit Azerbaijan together with Mr. Sawada in 2022.
It should be noted that a number of products imported from Azerbaijan were also presented to the participants at the New Otani Tokyo Hotel where the event was organized.
