A tree-planting event commemorating Shusha’s 270th anniversary was held in Malaysia.

Elnur Mammadov, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan, has begun working with meetings and contacts in Malaysia as part of his visit to Southeast and East Asian countries. According to AJMEDIA, on July 13, the deputy minister of Azerbaijan took part in a tree-planting ceremony at MARA University of Technology, one of Malaysia’s top institutions of higher learning, to commemorate the 270th anniversary of Shusha, the capital of Azerbaijani culture.

The event was hosted in a designated green area on the university’s main campus and was coordinated jointly by the UiTM and the Azerbaijani Embassy in Malaysia. Before the event, a solemn ritual was planned. Representatives from UiTM’s substantial scientific and educational personnel, as well as staff from the Azerbaijani embassy and members of the student-youth organization, attended the ceremony.

After the event, Deputy Minister E. Mammadov met with the deans of the university’s faculties of commerce, law, humanitarian sciences, and exact sciences to discuss future potential for mutual cooperation.
