Azerbaijani PM, Indian minister look over bilateral development shots

Tokyo, 26 October, /AJMEDIA/

Azerbaijan’s Prime Minister Ali Asadov has met with the Indian Minister of State for Commerce and Industry, Anupriya Patel, AJMEDIA reports.

The meeting emphasized the importance of the session of the Intergovernmental Commission on trade, economic, scientific, and technological cooperation between the governments of Azerbaijan and India, which has taken place in Baku.

Besides, confidence was expressed that the decisions made at the session and the signed documents will contribute to the development of relations between the two countries.

Speaking about Azerbaijan’s chairmanship of the Non-Aligned Movement (NAM), Asadov reminded its one-year extension, testifying to trust in Azerbaijan for the work done, initiatives taken, and steps to enhance the organization’s international authority.

Sharing his views on the regional processes after the 2020 second Karabakh war, the prime minister mentioned that despite Azerbaijan’s significant efforts during the past period, Armenia, evading its commitments, refused to withdraw its armed forces from the territory of Karabakh, continuously violated the negotiation process, and resorted to various military provocations.

He emphasized that following another provocation in September of this year, as a result of short-term anti-terrorism operations of a local nature in Karabakh, Azerbaijan fully secured its sovereignty.

Asadov also highlighted that the Azerbaijani Army, demonstrating high professionalism, targeted only military objects, avoiding strikes on civilian infrastructure and the civilian population.
