Baku hosts 62nd ASOSAI Governing Board meeting

The 62nd meeting of the Governing Board of the Asian Organization of Supreme Audit Institutions (ASOSAI), hosted by Azerbaijan’s Chamber of Accounts, kicked off in Baku.

The event gathers over 100 participants, including members of the ASOSAI Governing Board and members of the ASOSAI Audit Committee, as well as members of the Governing Board and Secretariat of the International Organization of Supreme Audit Institutions (INTOSAI), and the INTOSAI Development Initiative (IDI).

The opening remarks were delivered by Subramanian Krishnan Sangaran, Deputy Comptroller and Auditor General of India, member of ASOSAI Governing Board; and Vugar Gulmammadov, Chairman of Azerbaijan’s Chamber of Accounts.

In his remarks, Vugar Gulmammadov underscored the significance of the event, saying that Azerbaijan’s Chamber of Accounts plays great importance on international collaboration, also highlighting the institution’s contributions within ASOSAI.

The event featured the screening of a video about Azerbaijan.

Azerbaijan’s Chamber of Accounts was elected member of the ASOSAI Board during the meeting of the 16th ASOSAI Assembly held in New Delhi, India, in September 2024.
