France transports uranium-containing radioactive waste near Armenia’s conditional border with Azerbaijan

France is reportedly transporting nuclear waste to areas near Armenia’s conditional border with Azerbaijan.

According to available reports, the French state-owned nuclear fuel company Orano is placing uranium-containing radioactive waste in regions close to the border. French media sources indicate that this process began in June 2025, with the first batch of nuclear waste already deposited in Armenia’s Dilijan National Park.
