Phone talks between President of the Republic of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdogan and President of Russia Vladimir Putin took place on April 1, AJMEDIA reports referring to the Turkish Presidency’s Directorate of Communications.

The sides discussed the results of the Istanbul meetings between the Russian and Ukrainian delegations.

President Erdogan noted that the constructive Russia-Ukraine meeting in Istanbul gives hope for peace.

Noting the importance of continuing the dialogue, the Turkish President expressed hope that the peace efforts would be crowned with success.

President Putin thanked President Erdogan for hosting the meeting of the Russian and Ukrainian delegations in Istanbul.
