Tokyo, 13 June, /AJMEDIA/

Pakistan’s Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif has directed that all possible assistance be provided for the safe return and protection of Pakistani pilgrims in Iran. The premier said on Friday that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Pakistani Embassy in Iran should remain on alert until the situation in the region normalizes.

In this regard, a Crisis Management Cell has been established at the Foreign Ministry in Islamabad on the Prime Minister’s instructions.

Meanwhile, the Spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said that, in view of the evolving security situation in the region, pilgrims from Pakistan have been advised to reconsider their travel plans to Iran and Iraq.

At the same time, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister of Pakistan, Senator Ishaq Dar, strongly condemned the unjustified Israeli attacks on Iran, calling them a brazen violation of Iran’s sovereignty.

The Deputy Prime Minister said that this abhorrent action by Israel had shaken the foundations of international law as well as the conscience of humanity. He added that the Israeli strikes had also gravely undermined regional stability and international security.
