The false video footages, photos and other information have been recently spread in some media and social networks, allegedly showing the transportation and deployment of various equipment belonging to the Azerbaijani army, AJMEDIA reports with reference to the Azerbaijani Prosecutor General’s Office.
Spreading of such unverified information, audio recordings, photos and video footages without any clarification with the state agencies to create artificial excitement is unacceptable and entails liability envisaged by the law.
“The Prosecutor General’s Office of the Republic of Azerbaijan warns media outlets and users of social networks that the corresponding measures will be taken against the individuals who have committed these negative actions in accordance with the requirements of the current legislation,” the Prosecutor General’s Office said.
