The opening ceremony of the 1st International Medical Forum was held at the Nakhchivan State National Drama Theater on June 18, the press service of the Supreme Assembly of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic told AJMEDIA.
Welcoming the participants of the 1st International Medical Forum in Nakhchivan, the land of ancient Azerbaijan, Chairman of the Supreme Assembly of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic Vasif Talibov said: “Health has an important role in the formation of a healthy society. This is because historically, care for medicine and the art of medicine has been valued as care for humanity. In modern times, the main indicator of the development of countries is the level of health of the population and the provision of medical services. Our national leader Heydar Aliyev paid attention to this issue during both leaderships of our country, and health care construction has expanded in Azerbaijan. The health reforms initiated by the Great Leader are being successfully continued by President Ilham Aliyev.
The Chairman of the Supreme Assembly expressed confidence that the First International Medical Forum in Nakhchivan would be useful for the exchange of views on joint research by renowned doctors and specialists from prestigious universities around the world. He thanked the organizers and wished success to the forum.
The speakers thanked the Chairman of the Supreme Assembly of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic for the support provided to the forum.

The forum continued with an artistic part, and a concert program was presented with the participation of People’s Artists Mansum Ibrahimov and Samir Jafarov, Honored Artist Nuriya Huseynova, and the Symphony Orchestra of Nakhchivan State University.
