International symposium titled “Azerbaijan and Türkiye in World Politics” held in Baku

An international symposium titled “Azerbaijan and Türkiye in World Politics,” organized by the Turkish Academy of Sciences (TÜBA) and the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences (ANAS), was held in Baku.

In his address, President of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences Isa Habibbayli, spoke about the brotherly relations between Azerbaijan and Türkiye, highlighting their close scientific and cultural ties.

Habibbayli noted that scientific events and international conferences marking the 80th anniversary of ANAS are continuing both in Azerbaijan and abroad.

He emphasized that this symposium was held for the first time as part of the ANAS anniversary celebrations.

Ambassador of Türkiye to Azerbaijan Birol Akgün, also spoke about the strategic partnership between the two countries, underlining their growing role in world politics and the significance of their joint positions.

Professor Muzaffer Şeker, President of TÜBA, and Professor Ahmet Nuri Yurdusev, President of the Association of Academies and Societies of Sciences in Asia and Chair of TÜBA’s International Relations Working Group, also addressed the symposium, sharing their insights on the theme.

The symposium continued with plenary sessions.
