The 14th edition of the Silk Road International Music Festival, co-organized by the Ministry of Culture, the Union of Azerbaijan Composers, and the Shaki City Executive Authority, has successfully concluded.
Over the course of three days, music enthusiasts, city guests, and local residents enjoyed performances by renowned musical groups and talented artists from Türkiye, the People’s Republic of China, and Azerbaijan.
The festival’s grand closing ceremony was held on the evening of July 6 at the Summer Theater of the Markhal complex. The event was attended by officials from the organizing institutions, representatives of Azerbaijan to the TURKSOY organization, members of martyrs’ families, city guests, and music lovers.
The ceremony featured a performance by the Model Military Orchestra of the State Border Service of Azerbaijan, which captivated the audience with a diverse repertoire spanning classical, jazz, pop, and popular music. The concert was dedicated to the 5th anniversary of Azerbaijan’s glorious Victory in the Patriotic War.
Following the musical program, the artistic director of the festival, Chairman of the Azerbaijan Composers’ Union, Corresponding Member of ANAS, People’s Artist, World Peace Artist, Professor Firangiz Alizade, and Head of the Shaki City Executive Authority Elkhan Usubov delivered speeches, expressing their gratitude to all the organizations that contributed to the successful hosting of the 14th Silk Road International Music Festival in Shaki.
The festival concluded with a spectacular fireworks display.
