An action dedicated to the September 27-Memorial Day was held in Sydney, organized by the Australian Azerbaijanis Association Inc (AAA).
AJMEDIA reports that a limited number of participants attended the event due to the fact that mass events related to the quarantine regime were not allowed. AAA President Mikayil Oyta read And sent a statement addressed to Australian government agencies, and non-governmental organizations, and the media.
The statement said that Azerbaijanis living in Australia are proud of the hero, patriotic Azerbaijani Army and Supreme Commander-in-Chief, President Ilham Aliyev, who liberated occupied Karabakh for 44 days in nearly 30 years.
The document reads: “September 27, 2021 is the Day of Remembrance. Exactly one year ago, the Azerbaijani Army liberated the occupied territories by martyrdom. Today we commemorate all the martyrs of Azerbaijan.
For almost 30 years, the occupying, criminal Armenia and its supporters have committed crimes in our lands. When Armenia destroyed all historical sites, settlements and the environment in the occupied territories, some European countries remained silent about this crime.
We are confident that Azerbaijan, with the help of Turkey and other friendly countries, will restore all the acts of vandalism committed by Armenia, the destroyed settlements in the most modern and beautiful way.
