Azerbaijani, Singapore companies sign Memorandum of Understanding

The Economic Zones Development Agency under Azerbaijan’s Ministry of Economy, the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan, (SOCAR) and Singapore company “Indorama Investments Limited” have signed a Memorandum of Understanding.

The document was inked by Chairman of the Board of the Economic Zones Development Agency Elshad Nuriyev, Vice President of SOCAR Kanan Najafov and Director and Member of the Board of Indorama Corporation Prakash Kejriwal.

The memorandum envisages investigating the possibilities of establishing a plant for the production of ammonium nitrate, NPK (nitrogen-N, phosphorus-P and potassium-K), DAP (diammonium phosphate) and ammonium sulfate fertilizers in the Sumgayit Chemical Industrial Park and conducting relevant exchange of information between the parties.
