Azerbaijan’s rate of adaptation to new technologies is much higher than in other countries of the world, General Director of Mastercard for Azerbaijan and Türkiye Avsar Gurdal said during the press conference, AJMEDIA reports.

“The young population of the country, the interest of the general population in technology, as well as the steps taken by the Central Bank of Azerbaijan, influence the growth of digital payments. Mastercard intends to bring the digitalization of payments in Azerbaijan to 60–70 percent. This is mainly because the speed of adaptation in Azerbaijan to new technologies is much higher than in other countries of the world,” he said.
