Central banks of Azerbaijan and Tajikistan discuss directions of cooperation development

The directions of cooperation development between the central banks of Azerbaijan and Tajikistan were discussed, Trend reports via the tweet of Chairman of the Central Bank of Azerbaijan Taleh Kazimov.

“A meeting was held with the Chairman of the National Bank of Tajikistan Hokim Kholiqzoda. We exchanged views on the future directions of cooperation between the Central Bank of Azerbaijan and Tajikistan,” he said.

Meanwhile, the Central Bank of Azerbaijan and the National Bank of Tajikistan signed the memorandum of understanding on April 6.

The memorandum’s goal was to organize research trips in order to cooperate in the banking sector, exchange experience, and information, and discuss relevant issues. Also, the memorandum aimed to conduct training, internship programs, and seminars, and provide technical advice.

Moreover, as part of the state visit of the President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev to Tajikistan, a number of bilateral documents were signed on April 5.
