Japan on Sunday reported 119,174 new coronavirus cases, down 16,587 from Saturday. Tokyo reported 12,163 new cases, down 2,395 from Saturday.
The number of infected people hospitalized with severe symptoms in Tokyo was 15, unchanged from Saturday. The nationwide figure was 386, up eight from Saturday.
The number of coronavirus-related deaths reported nationwide was 190.
