Lefkoşa, the capital of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC), hosted a conference titled “The Turkic World is Our Family.”
The event was co-organized by the Azerbaijan-Cyprus Friendship Society and the CASCFEN non-governmental organization, with support from Azerbaijan’s Agency for State Support to NGOs.
Addressing the event, TRNC President Ersin Tatar highlighted the close ties between the peoples of Northern Cyprus and Azerbaijan.
He emphasized the importance of strengthening bilateral dialogue and cooperation within the framework of the Organization of Turkic States. On behalf of the conference participants, President Tatar extended greetings to President Ilham Aliyev and the people of Azerbaijan, expressing hope for further expansion of ties between the two nations.
The TRNC leader also described the 17th Summit of the Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO) held in Khankendi as a diplomatic success. He reaffirmed his government’s readiness to support the establishment of an Azerbaijan Cultural House in Lefkoşa.
