Netherlands’ striker Memphis Depay has ended the Qatar 2022 World Cup qualifying campaign in brilliant fashion with two goals against Montenegro and one against Norway to ensure that Holland go straight into the finals as group winners.
He netted twelve goals, the same as England’s Harry Kane, who matched him on the final day with four goals against San Marino.
Lewandowski (Poland), Zahavi (Israel) and Mitrovic (Serbia) are next with eight goals each.
This was the third highest tally since 2016, only topped by the 16 goals scored by Lewandowski and 15 by Cristiano Ronaldo in 2018 qualifying.
