A concert program titled “National Culture of the Turkic World” was held in Stockholm, the capital of Sweden.

Organized by Uzbekistan’s “Hijran” Cultural Association, the event brought together various Turkic-speaking communities.

Azerbaijan was represented by SAF – the Sweden-Azerbaijan Union. At the initiative of SAF’s chairperson, Sevda Dadashova, an exhibition was organized showcasing Azerbaijan’s national symbols, accessories, clothing, books, and other cultural artifacts, offering attendees the opportunity to engage with Azerbaijan’s rich cultural heritage.

The concert featured performances by Uzbek, Kazakh, Turkish, and Azerbaijani artists. Opera singer Burcu Kuru, Azerbaijani pianist Aynur Malikova, and tar player Farid Khankishiyev enriched the program with renditions of Azerbaijani and Turkish musical masterpieces. Their performances included “Gizlar Khoru” from Uzeyir Hajibeyli’s operetta “Arshin Mal Alan,” Tofig Guliyev’s “Sana da Galmaz,” Vasif Adigozalov’s “Garanfil,” and the folk song “Ay Lachin.”

The primary goal of the event was to promote unity and solidarity among Turkic-speaking communities in Stockholm while introducing their vibrant cultures to a broader audience.
