Starwood Capital Group keen to invest in tourism sector of Azerbaijan

Azerbaijan’s Minister of Economy Mikayil Jabbarov has met with Barry Sternlicht, Chairman and CEO of Starwood Capital Group, the private alternative investment firm that is focused on global real estate.

During the meeting, Minister Mikayil Jabbarov highlighted measures implemented in Azerbaijan in the economic sphere and the results achieved, noting the favorable business environment of the country and the opportunities created for foreign investors.

Emphasizing that there are good opportunities for investment in energy, especially in alternative and renewable energy, logistics, tourism and other areas, the minister pointed out the potential of partnership with the Starwood Capital Group in this regard.

The parties discussed cooperation on investment in a number of areas, including the tourism one.
