A delegation led by Colonel General Karim Valiyev, First Deputy Minister of Defense and Chief of the General Staff of the Azerbaijan Army, observed the “Defender of Peace – 2025” international exercise held in Istanbul, Türkiye.
Following this, the Chief of the General Staff of the Azerbaijan Army traveled to Konya to attend the Distinguished Visitors Day of the “Anatolian Eagle – 2025” international exercise.
The guests were provided with detailed information about the exercise’s planning process, scenario, objectives, and the sequence of task execution.
The “Anatolian Eagle – 2025” exercise involves a group of pilots, technical personnel, and aircraft from the Azerbaijan Air Force.
As part of the visit, Colonel General Karim Valiyev met with Yaşar Güler, Minister of National Defense of the Republic of Türkiye; Army General Metin Gürak, Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces; and Professor Erhan Afyoncu, Rector of the National Defense University.
During the meetings, the sides discussed prospects for further cooperation between Azerbaijan and Türkiye, which is built on mutual trust and support. It was emphasized that this strategic alliance is based on friendly and fraternal relations.
The parties held an in-depth exchange of views on the current state and future expansion of cooperation in military, military-technical, military education, and other areas, as well as other issues of mutual interest.
