Student of the Faculty of Industrial Engineering of Azerbaijan State University of Economics (UNEC) Yasin Efendiyev from 05/08/24 to 05/09/24 participated in the exchange program within the framework of the DETMED project (https://deeptechlab.ulusofona.pt/projects/detmed-101129879) at the University of West Bohemia (Czech Republic). The project is carried out within the framework of the program HORIZON-MSCA-2022-SE-01-01 – MSCA Staff Exchanges 2022. The aim of the project is to develop a high-precision, more prototype compact gamma probe with novel detection system for surgical operations. The detector system based on photodiodes, patented by Azerbaijani scientific team. Within the framework of this project, the collaboration will carry out both, research and technological components using the latest research methods and technical potential and through multi-purpose secondments. For the successful implementation of the project, a coordinated exchange of experience and knowledge gained in the field of physics, engineering, and technology will be carried out; by strengthening modern knowledge in the field of optoelectronics and applying modern technological approaches and methods, as well as international cooperation of highly qualified scientists and engineers from Portugal, Poland, Czech Republic, Slovenia, Ukraine, Germany, Hungary, and Azerbaijan.
