The death toll from wildfires on Hawaii’s Maui Island has reached 106, local authorities said Tuesday.
The fires that first broke out on Aug. 8 are the deadliest natural disaster in the United States since a 1918 blaze killed hundreds in Minnesota, according to U.S. media reports.
