Gunay Afandiyeva: Foundation attaches great importance to mutual relations with various scientific centers of foreign countries

President of the International Turkic Culture and Heritage Foundation Gunay Afandiyeva has met with President of the Council of Higher Education of Turkiye Erol Özvar as part of her visit to Ankara.

President of the Foundation Gunay Afandiyeva highlighted the activities of the organization, whose priority goals are the protection of the centuries-old values of the Turkic people, their promotion at the international level, and transmission to future generations. Gunay Afandiyeva mentioned that the Foundation attaches great importance to mutual relations with various scientific centers and higher education institutions of the member and observer states of the organization, as well as foreign countries, in the direction of in-depth study and promotion of the national Turkic cultural heritage. The president of the Foundation drew attention to the fact that the creation of a common network, establishing close cooperation relations with a number of universities of the Turkic World is among the plans of organization. Gunay Afandiyeva pointed out that Bursa Uludag University of Turkiye is the latest of the universities with which the organization has signed a Memorandum of Understanding.

President of the Council of Higher Education of Turkiye (YÖK) Erol Özvar said that he considers the large-scale projects implemented by the International Turkic Culture and Heritage Foundation to preserve the ancient and rich culture of the Turkic people to be commendable. He hailed the involvement of centers of education in the study and research of all-Turkic values by the Foundation. Erol Özvar stated that it is important to raise awareness and promote the historical and cultural heritage of the Turkic World, and touched on the value of joint cooperation with the organization in this regard.

The meeting continued with an exchange of views on issues of mutual interest.
