A delegation led by Rector of Türkiye’s Istanbul University Osman Bülent Zülfikar visited Tuesday the Baku State University (BSU) as he met with the BSU Rector Elchin Babayev.
During the meeting, Rector Elchin Babayev briefed his Turkish counterpart about the 105-year-old history and the activity of the university.
The BSU rector pointed out the prospects for cooperation with the Istanbul University across various domains, including biotechnology, nanotechnology, biomedical research, computer sciences, social studies, journalism, and archeology. He particularly noted that a dual diploma program in archeology could be established between the two institutions, which envisages joint expeditions and creation of laboratories.
Rector Osman Bülent Zülfikar pointed out the necessity of conducting joint researches with BSU, as well as teacher and students exchange program.
The meeting also saw discussions on further developing bilateral cooperation between the universities.
